Who are “Physician Assistants”?

Health care isn’t delivered just by doctors. There are a host of different health care professionals: doctors, nurses, therapists, etc. You may find yourself seeing a physician assistant when you go to the doctor’s office. Who are physician assistants? They are physician-supervised “mid level” health care providers. They can make diagnoses and prescribe treatments. I’ve worked with several in our medical office and have been very pleased to have them as colleagues.
Do you want to know more about physician assistants? You can listen to an online podcast of my interview with physician assistant Wayne VonSeggen at http://webtalkradio.net/shows/getting-better-health-care/.
